CHANNEL NUTS

Channel nuts (also known as Zebs) are specialised fasteners designed to slide into strut channels to provide secure anchoring points for bolts and threaded rods.

They feature grooved edges that act as teeth to grip the channel's return flange when tightened. 

Common Variations

Channel nuts are primarily categorised by their spring mechanism, which determines how they sit within different channel depths. 

  • Long Spring Channel Nuts: Designed for standard 41mm deep channels. The long spring holds the nut flush against the channel's inturned edges, allowing for easier one-handed installation in overhead or vertical applications.
  • Short Spring Channel Nuts: Specifically suited for shallow or light-duty 21mm deep channels.
  • Plain (No Spring) Channel Nuts: These do not have a spring and are typically pre-mounted on a bolt before being inserted into the channel. They are often used in horizontal applications where gravity keeps the nut in place during assembly.
