ISO 7093 stainless steel washers are heavy-duty round washers belonging to the "Large Series" category.
The primary rule of the ISO 7093 specification is that the outside diameter (OD) is exactly 3 times the nominal thread size.
For instance, an M10 bolt will pair with an ISO 7093 washer featuring a 30mm outer diameter.
Hardness Grades for Stainless Steel
Because stainless steel cannot be hardened using traditional carbon heat treatments, ISO 7093 establishes specific Vickers Hardness requirements to prevent the washer from crushing or cupping under load:
200 HV Grade: The standard, most common class for stainless washers.
300 HV Grade: A premium, high-hardness specification reserved for highly stressed clamping joints or use with higher-strength fasteners.
