IDF LINER

IDF LINER

An IDF liner is the non-threaded, internal component of an IDF (International Dairy Federation) union. It serves as the mating half to the IDF Male and provides a recessed seat specifically designed to hold a T-shaped hygienic seal. 

Key Features

  • Hygienic Design: Unlike the RJT liner, the IDF liner is designed for a flush-fitting seal. This ensures the internal bore of the pipe remains smooth and crevice-free, making it ideal for Clean-In-Place (CIP) systems.
  • Standards: Manufactured to BS 4825 Part 4 and ISO 2853.
  • Material: Almost exclusively produced in 316 or 316L stainless steel to resist corrosion from process fluids and cleaning chemicals.
  • Connection Type: Most commonly supplied as a Weld Liner, featuring a spigot for orbital or manual welding to stainless steel tubes.
