COMPRESSION FITTINGS

Brass compression fittings are mechanical connectors used to join copper pipes without the need for heat or soldering.

They create a watertight seal by compressing a soft metal ring, known as an olive (UK) between a nut and the fitting body until it "bites" into the pipe.

Common Types and Applications

These fittings are versatile and suitable for domestic and commercial water, gas, and heating systems.

Straight Couplings: Used for a simple end-to-end connection between two pipes.
Elbows: Change the direction of pipework, typically by 90 degrees.
Tee Fittings: Feature three connections in a 'T' shape to split or combine flow.
Stop Ends: Used to permanently or temporarily seal off the end of a pipe.
Male/Female Couplers: Connect pipework to threaded components like valves, taps, or tanks.
