Rawlnuts are highly versatile, specialised problem-solving fasteners.
Unlike rigid plastic or metal plugs, a Rawlnut consists of a flexible synthetic EPDM rubber sleeve featuring a moulded brass threaded nut bonded inside the very tip.
They act as a blind-rivet style anchor, making them the ultimate hybrid option for environments where traditional expansion plugs fail.
How They Work
You insert the smooth rubber sleeve into a pre-drilled hole up to its flange.
A standard metric machine screw is passed through the item you are hanging and threaded into the brass insert at the bottom.
As the screw is tightened, it draws the embedded brass nut upward toward the front face.
This action forces the flexible rubber sleeve to swell, bulge, and fold into a thick rubber collar behind hollow panels, or compress against the inner walls of a solid hole.
