How They Work
A hammer fixing consists of a long plastic nylon sleeve and a specially threaded steel screw.
The screw threads are angled, allowing it to be driven straight in with a hammer strike.
As the screw is hammered home, it forces the nylon sleeve to expand against the walls of the pre-drilled hole, creating a permanent, friction-locked hold.
