HOT DIPPED GALV

Hot-dip galvanised (HDG) strut channel is a durable, corrosion-resistant steel channel used for support systems in harsh environments.

The galvanisation process, which involves dipping the steel in molten zinc after manufacture, provides a thick protective coating that offers significantly longer corrosion resistance than pre-galvanised finishes, making it ideal for outdoor use. 

Product Information

  • Finish: The HDG process applies a zinc coating of around 86 microns after the channel is formed, in accordance with standards like BS EN ISO 1461. This ensures superior protection against rust and weathering.
  • Type: Available in both plain (unslotted) for maximum structural integrity and slotted for flexible assembly with compatible fittings and fixings.
